February 2022 Newsletter - Christine Josti, Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator
If you follow my Mail Something Pretty facebook page, you saw that my town was right in the middle of this weekend's 2022 Blizzard. We were completely safe and sound, so I decided to have some fun posting pictures and giving updates on all of our snow - just under 30 inches worth. The wind blew and blew, but we never lost power (phew, although I was prepared for it). Power meant, my oven worked. I baked two different types of cookies which
we REALLY didn't need. So today, I packaged some up to give away.
I love having fun Stampin' Up! bags, ribbons & tag supplies around the house. I can whip up pretty packaging real quick. Do you have packaging supplies on hand? Check out their several food safe packaging options.

Multi-Stamping & Stamparatus Tip!
Val shared these photos this weekend on my VIP Facebook group page (are YOU a Very Important Papercrafter?? If you are, I encourage you to join this group). I think her idea is brilliant and am
using her photos instead of re-creating my own. Thanks for sharing Val!!!!
I may even use this idea in today's Facebook Live. Join me today at 2:30 pm EST or watch the replay to find out.

Look how she stacked & squeezed all the hearts together on the Stamparatus plate. Ink all the hearts all at one time and press closed. It's like they are all one stamp. Then, she inked the stamp on the upper plate in a darker color and presto, the words are right where she wants them. Put another envelope on the base and
repeat.
Even more heart stamps are aligned on a Stamparatus plate for the front of the envelope (wow Val, you sure have a lot of heart stamps!!!!)
You can use this method for card making, tags and scrapbooking too.
The Stamparatus:
- makes making multiples of the same projects quick & easy!
- works with both red rubber and photopolymer stamps.
- is a "stamp positioning" tool. The image goes exactly where you want it.
- helps with complete ink coverage because you can stamp again & again with precision
- has multiple hinges for "hinge stamping". Repetition stamping.
- comes with 2 reversible plates for 4 sides to work with, 2 super strong magnets, a foam mat and rulers & guide lines on all plates & base.
- is $49 - $1 away from qualifying for a Sale-a-bration product.
Year of the Tiger - Happy New Year!
Today marks the first day of the Chinese New Year, which is celebrated for 16 days. My sister-in-law is an ESL teacher for an elementary school and shared this website that tells all you need to know about this years Year of the
Tiger.
I made a few New Year Tiger cards and wrote a blog post about them. You can read that post and see (& copy) the cards here: - https://mailsomethingpretty.com/chinese-new-year-the-year-of-the-tiger/
In lieu of a 2022 in-person Open House, I am duplicating what I offered last year. Spend $100 in February and in addition to your Sale-a-bration benefits, you’ll also receive a free online class (focusing on the Cactus Cuties bundle), a spool of new ribbon & adhesive gems. I’m not specifying which gems & ribbon in case of backorder/supply
chain issues arise. Luckily, all Stampin' Up! gems & ribbons are beautiful and high quality so any choice is a good choice.
February Special Host Code - ZHVVZD9G
If you join my team in February (& I really hope you do), I'll send you the online class as a welcome gift too.
Photo of the Cactus Class are coming soon!!!! This will be a technique/fold based class, so no need to have the Cactus Bundle (but it's a good one) to learn.
February 7 is: Send a Friend a Card Day
Not that we NEED a reason to make & send a card, but the "send a friend a card day" prompt is a good reminder to do so. Get creating!!!!!!!
Post photos of your cards on my VIP Facebook group page. You'll get oohs & ahhs for your card/s and card ideas from other fellow crafters for future card making.

I have not made the leap in trying this new phenomenon, but I know many of you have. I put the suggestion (aka challenge) out there last week to make a Wordle card and team member Charlette accepted and amazed.
We can turn any trend into cards with a little creative thinking!!!!
Charlette used the Playful Alphabet dies, 152706 to cut out all the letters and 1" squares. To me, the square colors look like Sahara Sand, Pear Pizzazz & Pumpkin Pie.
Have fun making your Wordle cards! Hope's this helps with inspiration.
