With the great Sale-a-bration joining offer ending in just a few days, I've
had a few questions over the last week. Some of you may have some of the same questions, so I compiled this questions & answers email.
If you have any further questions, want to discuss the options and/or opportunities, I am available all day today (it's going to be snowing all day) and for most of the weekend.
What is the Sale-a-bration joining offer (aka Starter Kit)?
Pay $99 for your choice of Stampin' Up! products totaling up to $125 and receive a complimentary Paper Pumpkin kit, catalogs to share and free shipping. Plus, until Feb. 28, you also get to choose ANY two stamp sets of any value from the Annual and/or Occasions catalogs.
Q. As a consultant, do you pay full price and then get reimbursed the discount?
A. No, you do not send the full price to Stampin' Up!. Demonstrators (what Stampin' Up! calls Consultants) who place orders for themselves, pay only 80%, so it’s like a 20% discount. If someone places an order from you, then it’s 20% income (SU calls this instant income). If they give you a check for the full amount, you send Stampin' Up! 80% and keep the 20%. If someone places an online order with you,
Stampin' Up! will deposit the 20% into your bank account.
Q. I love the products, but I don't think I know enough people who would want to buy them.
A. That's totally fine and quite common. There are many ways to find people who would want to buy Stampin' Up!'s amazing products. That's where I & my team can help you.
Q. How much time is involved with being a demonstrator? I'm not sure I have enough.
A. As much or as little time as you want to put into it. There are many demonstrators who have full time jobs, families, obligations, etc. Stamping should be a fun activity that you enjoy and look forward to do (as you already know), not an obligation or chore. There are unlimited ways of being a demonstrator and the best way is the way that works for you and your family.
Q. I'm still pretty new at making cards, how much experience do you need to sign up?
A. Anyone can be a demonstrator, even someone who has never stamped before. There are so many creative and instructive resources on the internet, as well as ways my team & I can teach you. If you love it, then there shouldn't be anything stopping you from joining, learning & sharing.
Q. To stay active, do I need to buy/sell $300 every 3 months?
A. There is a quarterly $300 minimum to stay active. But, the first quarter doesn’t begin right away. Say you joined in Feb, your first quarter won't start until April 1, so you would have until June 30 to reach the $300 minimum mark.
Q. What happens if I don't sell enough?
A. There is always a month of pending given if the minimum is not met, so you are not dropped right away. If you don't meet the amount after your pending month, then you become inactive. No penalty, nothing to send back. So, it’s really risk free.
Q. If you lapse, can you rejoin?
A. If you lapse, you have the option to join again. If you were a demonstrator in the past, you can rejoin with me (or another demonstrator) after 90 days.
Q. Besides all the products you get, why is it better to join than order through you?
A. The Starter Kit is a great value all on it's own. The regular price is really a sale price because you are getting $125 of products, a $22 Paper Pumpkin Kit and free shipping, a total value of $161 for only $99. During Sale-a-bration, the value is even higher because you get to choose any two additional stamp sets for free.
Besides the dollar value of the products, the other benefits & opportunities are "priceless" (as they say in the commercials). Just some of the benefits are:
