With all of the kits (both cards & crafting), you can either "follow the rules" (directions) or you can "break the rules" by creating alternate projects. Add other products (paper, embellishments) to step up the kits complexity, divide up the included papers to create more projects or come up with a completely new project/card using the included pieces. It's all up to you.
