Happy International Cat Day!

Today is International Cat Day! Right after we got married (almost 27 years ago) we adopted two kitten brothers, Ted & Louie. They were so much fun, became members of our family and I still miss them (it's been 10 years since they passed). Turns out, Mike was/is allergic to cats, so they were our one & only furry pets.

The following card was colored to look like Ted (Louie was more one-tone buff color than Ted's orange tabbiness).

The Cheerful Basket stamp set & dies is a fun bundle for coloring. You can use Blends Markers, as I did here, or Watercolor Pencils, Blender Pen & Ink, or with the Soft Pastels. If you use Blends Markers, don't forget to use Memento Black Ink so the colors blend, not bleed.

Instructions:

Cut the Cajun Craze cardstock to 4-1/4” x 11” and fold in half to make the card base.
Emboss front of card base with Leaf Fall Embossing Folder
Cut pattern paper with largest Stylish Shapes Square die and adhere to front of card base with glue.
Stamp with Memento Ink: basket, cat and apples. Cut and color with Blends Markers. Adhere to card front.
Stamp sentiment in Cajun Craze ink on 3/8” wide Basic White strip. Adhere to card with Dimensionals.

Feel free to change any colors, of the card and cat for your own customization.
