Week 5 🤶 12 weeks of Christmas

Remember I said at the beginning of these 12 Weeks that I like to make simpler Christmas cards (because I make so many)? This is a perfect card for mass production. One pack of paper will yield so many cards because you are using a small section of 4 different patterns.

As you can see, this template lends itself so well to many different patterns of papers (or you could even emboss your own patterns) and almost any card making & sending occasion, not just Christmas.

The greeting is from the newly released Framed & Festive stamp set I wrote about yesterday. It's a GREAT Christmas set (and available for only a limited time). Of course, you can use any greeting you have.

Supplies

Stamp Set - NEW! Framed & Festive 160888 (see set below)

Ink Color - Sweet Sorbet 159216

Card Stock - Thick Basic White 159229 & Sweet Sorbet 159268

Designer Series Paper - Sweetest Christmas 159559

Accessories - Stylish Shapes Dies 159183

Tools - Paper Trimmer 152392 & Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine 149653

Adhesives - Multipurpose Liquid Glue 110755 & Dimensionals 104430

Directions

1. Cut a standard size card base with Thick Basic White card stock, 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", score at 4-1/4" and fold in half.

2. Cut four coordinating rectangles from patterned paper. Each sized 2" x 2-5/8".

3. Adhere to four quadrants of card base.

4. Choose & stamp greeting and cut with the 2nd largest Stylish Shapes circle (2-1/2" diameter). Cut the largest circle (3" diameter) with Sweet Sorbet card stock and layer together with dimensionals.

5. Adhere layered circles onto card.

Alternate Options:

Rather than use the circles like above, I used the new Framed Florets dies* that coordinate with this set. I stamped on Vellum 101856 and let dry. I cut the oval from Red Glimmer paper 159578 and glued the outer framed oval to the vellum. Once dry, I cut the oval shape with scissors. (I could have cut the vellum with the same oval die, but glueing the two layers together gave me a way to attach the Vellum without seeing the glue.

Another version using two patterns from the Storybook Gnomes Designer Series Paper 159615. The oval was done the same as above, but I used the White Glimmer paper which came in the same pack as the Red.
