Week 1 🎁 12 weeks of Christmas

Welcome to my 2022 12 Weeks of Christmas series!

This series is only sent out to those on my mailing list, not to be seen anywhere else. I do this as a special thank you for subscribing to Mail Something Pretty.

Over the next 12 Wednesdays, I will send you Christmas samples with measurements and supplies for cards, tags, packaging and gifts. Feel free to alter any of the samples to work with the supplies you already have.

I recommend creating a folder in your email system to save the emails each week. That way, you know where they are when you are ready to start creating for Christmas. You can even use them over the summer if you want to get a jump start on next year. Or, use the layouts with non-Christmas papers year round.

I try to keep Christmas card designs on the simpler side to help you with mass production. Remember, simple does not equal boring.

Be sure to scroll after the directions for this sample because I couldn't stop making cards with this template. I won't usually send more than one example per week, but since this is Week 1, you get two bonus cards.

Supplies

Bundle - Sweet Candy Cane, 161052

Ink Colors - Sweet Sorbet, 159216 & Garden Green,147089

Card Stock - Sweet Sorbet, 159268 Basic White, 159276

Designer Series Paper - Sweetest Christmas, 159559

Accessories - Real Red & Garden Green Ribbon Combo Pack, 159577

Tools - Paper Trimmer, 152392, Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, 149653

Adhesives - Multipurpose Liquid Glue, 110755 and Mini Glue Dots, 103683

Directions

1. Cut Sweet Sorbet card base size 5-1/2" x 7-1/2". Score at 4-1/4". Fold along the score line.

2. Choose two patterns from Sweetest Christmas Designer Series Paper. The larger piece is 5-1/4" x 3". The smaller piece is 5-1/4" x 1". Adhere the larger piece to front of card.

3. Cut inside Basic White layer 5-1/4" x 4". Adhere to inside of card. Adhere 1" strip to bottom of Basic White.

4. Stamp and cut two candy canes. Adhere in criss cross direction to front of card, making sure adhesive is not on the bottom overhang sections.

5. Tie a bow with Garden Green Ribbon and adhere to candy canes with glue dot.

6. Stamp greeting on inside of card.

I used the Christmas Scottie bundle, 159744 and Gingham Cottage Designer Series Paper, 159651.

I used the Storybook Gnomes Designer Series Paper, 159615 (I cut out the gnome from one of the papers with scissors) and the Inspired Thoughts stamp set, 155536.
