Week 4 🎄 12 weeks of Christmas

The following cards are a little bit different in Christmas feel, but I think they lend themselves nicely to Winter Holiday time. You could even use this design for Holiday party invitations (I think they have a little elegance to them). To me, they are a twist on black tie. There are several variations in this Week 4.

Supplies

Stamp Bundle - Christmas Scottie Bundle 159744

Ink Color - Real Red (in examples below) 147084

Card Stock - Basic Black 121045, Real Red 102482 & Very Vanilla 101650

Designer Series Paper - Black & White Designs 159861

Accessories - Real Red & White Glimmer Paper 159578 & Stylish Shapes Dies 159186

Tools - Paper Trimmer 152392 & Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine 149653

Adhesives - Multipurpose Liquid Glue 110755 & Black Dimensionals 150893

Directions

1. Cut a standard size card base with Basic Black card stock, 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", score at 4-1/4" and fold in half.

2. Cut the following layers: Real Red 3-3/4" x 5" and a patterned design 3-1/2" x 4-3/4".

3. Cut the largest circle of Stylish Shapes (3" diameter) from Very Vanilla card stock.

4. Punch the Scottie Dog from Basic Black card stock.

5. Punch the bow from Real Red Glimmer paper and attach to dog with dimensional.

6. Adhere all layers to card. I used dimensionals to adhere the dog to the card.

Alternate Options:

Alternate ideas: Stamp the plaid stamp in Real Red ink onto Very Vanilla paper and punch the bow and stamp Merry Christmas on bottom of circle.

Alternate ideas: Reverse the circle and dog colors (to create a Westie). Stamp Merry Christmas and cut from banner die (I used All That dies 159078)

Alternate ideas: I used Vellum for the circle and Gold Foil for the bow. I also used Stampin' Write Markers (Basic Black & Real Red) to ink the greeting, from the Joyful Flurry stamp set 159804)

Alternate ideas: Tags! I used the Tailor Made Tags dies 155563 to create the tag shape (but you can cut rectangles with your paper trimmer). I decorated the front layer and attached a second Very Vanilla layer to write on.
