I'm sorry this email didn't go out yesterday as I said it would. My day got a little busy with the beautiful fall weather...........

In my Tuesday email I mentioned I would send out any questions I received about the October joining/starter kit as well as my answers. Usually, when one person has a question, someone else may have the same one.

Remember, for October you can join Stampin' Up! for $99 and choose $155 of products as well as receive free shipping, a complimentary Paper Pumpkin kit, catalogs to share and demonstrator benefits and become a part of my team of stampers. This is a huge value!

I hope these Q's & A's are helpful to you as you consider joining and the October kit promotion. If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask me.

Q. I'm interested in joining for the discounts, not necessarily as an income generator. What will that mean I need to "buy" each month? Is that before discounts?

A. To begin with, each demonstrator receives a 20% discount off any purchases. Once a $1800 sales threshold is met, this discount increases to 25% (there is no time limit or requirement to reach this threshold). If you purchase $100 each month for three months, that would fulfill your quarterly minimum. You would still receive the 20% off the $100 purchase (so you are really making that $100 purchase for $80).

If someone placed a $100 order with you, you would receive that 20% ($20) as income and that $100 order would be applied towards your quarterly minimum.

Stampin’ Up! has a $300 quarterly minimum to be an active demonstrator. You can purchase $300 once a quarter, or spread out the purchases over the 3 months. If you sign up this month, your first quarter would not begin until January 1st, which means you would have 5 months to meet this first $300. The quarters are: Jan - March, April - June, July - September and October - December.

The discount applies to a monthly Paper Pumpkin subscription if you are a subscriber and it gets applied towards your quarterly minimum (as well as anyone who subscribes with you).

Q. Are the $155 of products ANY products? Or is there a set kit, and I choose my products from that kit?

A. Many years ago, there was a list or categories of products to choose from. Now, you can choose any products from the Annual and/or Holiday catalog (excluding the host options), Clearance Rack choices, pre-paid Paper Pumpkin subscriptions and the new to be released Fitting Florets Collection (these products are available to demonstrators this month and will be available to everyone on Nov. 1st). Q. Do I have to buy order forms and catalogs and such as part of the $155?

A. No. The catalogs and forms are sent to you without having to pay for them. You would have to purchase future catalogs if you wanted to hand those out to friends & family.

Q. What if I decide this isn't for me? How long must I be an active demonstrator?

A. There is no time contract when signing up. If you don’t meet the quarterly minimum (whether for the first quarter or years from now) your demonstrator status would become inactive. There is no penalty for not meeting the minimums, you keep everything from the Starter Kit and any future purchases. So really, it’s risk free and quite a bargain.

Q. I'm thinking about joining soon, what are the best things to get with the $155?

A. I'm so glad you're thinking of joining. It’s hard for me to tell you exactly what to choose because I don’t know what you have. If you are a beginner, I suggest some ink pads, basic white paper, envelopes, multipurpose liquid glue, 2 stamp sets, blocks, paper trimmer snd do forth.
If you already have some basics, I think getting a Stampin Cut & Emboss machine is a great thing. It’s $120 but with the deal, that leaves $35 for dies or embossing folders. I use the Stylish Shapes dies the most.
Also, after you join, you get a 20% discount on all future orders.
