Are You Organized When Sending Birthday Cards?

Last week I asked this question on my Mail Something Pretty Facebook page:

Which month do you send out the most Birthday Cards?

I asked this because I had just written out 12 February birthday cards (handmade of course) and it made me wonder if there was a more popular birthday month. Several months were mentioned, but March seemed to generate the top response. I'll keep this in mind when I'm making card samples to share over the next few weeks.

In the meantime, let me highlight the Birthday Organizer Kit. Back in October, I invited some of my stamping team over to show how great these kits were as an activity to do with friends. We embellished the organizer cover with Blends Markers, as well as made the included cards, both as directed and as alternate versions. The kits went on back order last fall, but I'm happy to report they are now back in stock. Yay!

This kit is a great project to put together by yourself, and with a gathering of friends. Everyone receives their own kit. You can put everything together as directed (everything you need is included in the kit), or order extra supplies to embellish the binder and/or cards. If there is too much chatting and socializing going on, everyone can take their kit home to finish. It's sure to be a great time had by all and everyone has cards and a means of tracking birthdays.

Birthday Organizer Kit, 161056, $25

Kit Description: Get ready to party all year long with the Birthday Card Organizer Kit! This kit comes with everything you need to help you get organized and never miss out on a birthday celebration. It comes with the supplies to make 12 birthday cards with matching envelopes that you can easily customize. This kit is filled with precut floral and background pieces to really make your crafts unique. And don't forget the 8" x 10" yearly birthday organizer with sticker sentiments in multiple language options for perfect (and practical) personalization! You can keep track of all your loved one's birthdays, then make and save a card for them in the cardholder for each month. No matter who you are celebrating, you can give them something great!

I used Blends Markers to color in the top half of the organizer and the bottom half is left as it arrived (I will finish coloring so it's all even). You can color in the flowers with many different Blends color combinations. I used: Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo and Soft Succulent. You could also color in the negative space instead of leaving it white.

This card was put together as instructed, no extra embellishments or alternatives. It's a really nice (& quick to put together) birthday card. The flowers are already stamped, colored and pre-cut. You get 6 of these cards in the kit.

This is my alternate version of the above card. I didn't change too much because it was already a really nice card. I added some color with the same colored Blends Markers as I embellished the organizer and added some Black & White Gingham Ribbon.

This card was put together as instructed, no extra embellishments or alternatives. It's a great masculine card. The card base is the polka dot pattern. You add the two other triangles. You get 6 of these cards in the kit.

This is my alternate version of the above card. I decided not to use the triangles at all and took the color palette from the coordinating envelope. I used the Stylish Shapes dies for the circle shapes and Framed Florets bundle for the sentiment and leaf cut outs. I'm sorry to say the Framed Florets bundle is unavailable for ordering until the end of March, but there are many other sentiments and cutouts to use in it's place. I also used the black and white gingham ribbon to make a bow.

As I mentioned above, these kits are great to have and use for yourself, as a gift, or to put together in a crafting gathering. At only $25, it's a great value because you get the organizer, 12 months of labels and 12 cards to put together, including the adhesive.
