Since we are all enjoying Stampin' Up!'s Color Refresh and introduction (or return) of 16 colors, I thought it would be fun to find and suggest several color combinations for the month of May. Last week, I made the color combination suggestion of Misty Moonlight, Boho Blue and Wild Wheat.
All of my color suggestions for the next few weeks will come from the May Color issue of Better Homes and Garden Magazine. BH&G had different interior designers transform a space, focusing on color. I guess May is a great month for everyone to focus on colors!
For the rest of May I will show you two photographs per week from the magazine, match it with the names of Stampin' Up! colors and give at least one card example.
I encourage you to use these color combinations as a starting point. Use all of the colors,
some of them or make your own substitutions and/or additions.
Azure Afternoon, Berry Burst or Blackberry Bliss, Old Olive & Pebbled Path
Here is my creation made with this color combination (I used Blackberry Bliss rather than Berry Burst). I used the new Gorgeously Made
bundle. I have a feeling you will be seeing me use these dies a lot. I love both the greenery and the paper edging option. The Pebbled Path Textured ribbon is luxurious (& it comes in all of the new In Color options).
I tied a knot to go over the stem, rather than a bow (a great option for those who don't like tying bows). Lastly, I added a few Rustic Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots to tie it all together.
Wild Wheat, Night of Navy, Pecan Pie & Shaded Spruce
I'm looking forward to seeing your projects with these color combinations. If you don't have one of the colors, make a substitution. Or, if you want to order any of the new colors, you can do that here: www.mailsomethingpretty.com/shop.
