November is Going to be a FULL Month! (& I'm not talking Turkey)

November 2023 Newsletter - Christine Josti, Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

Not only have we turned a page in our calendars, but we (at least where I live) are in full autumn mode. My heat kicked on yesterday and I had to wear a jacket, long sleeves and pants! I miss my t-shirts and shorts already!!!! I do love Fall, but we had such a rainy summer that I feel like I missed out on being outside as much as I like. Here's hoping I'm able to take lots of walks and hikes before the snow starts falling.

There's lots to come this month in a matter of paper crafting: a new Product Spotlight, Online Class, Stampin' Up!'s Seasonal Sale, my Black Friday/Cyber Monday Offer plus, all of the samples of cards and projects I want to share with you. Phew - it's going to be a busy month!!!!! The following is just the beginning.

Celebrate the Miracle Stamp Set

Most of us, me included, have been focusing on showing Christmas cards. Today, I want to show you some Hanukah cards I designed using the new Celebrate the Miracle stamp set. This set went through some revisions with demonstrator feedback and I think it came out fantastic!

I used to make Hanukah tags for my son's schoolmate's family and I wish I had this set back then to make them.

For each of these cards, I used the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper. Most of the patterns in the pack lend themselves very well for pairing with this set. I also used heat embossing, with both white and gold embossing powder.

My hint for embossing with this set, apply the powder after each stamped image (wait until you are done with your design before you heat). That way you can see exactly where to put the next coordinating stamp (candles, words). It's hard to see where the VersaMark ink is without the powder.

Hanukah begins on December 7 and lasts until December 14. Plenty of time to make some cards, tags, treats and gifts for your Jewish friends.

In Case You Missed It!

Yesterday was my weekly live (class) and I showed a fun & easy way of creating your own patterned paper on Vellum using Blends Markers and 91% Isopropyl (rubbing) Alcohol. Mary Lou tried out the 70% Alcohol and it didn't work quite as good, thanks for experimenting for me Mary Lou!

Did You Watch Ann & My Global Live Last Week?

My Australian demonstrator friend, Ann Lewis of Ann's PaperWorks and I have been doing a monthly join lives since August. They have been tons of fun for us and everyone watching. And, everyone is learning something new too! Each month we have a challenge and this month's was a color challenge: Night of Navy, Lemon Lime Twist and Bubble Bath.

For October, Ann showed how to make your own Designer Series Paper with the Modern Garden stamp set from the Holiday catalog (a set I completely missed). I showed how to make a cute box topped with a paper flower, using the Paper Florist Dies.
