September 2024 Newsletter - Christine Josti, Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator
There is so much happening this week! In my town, the school buses will begin picking up the cute kids tomorrow. Maybe school has already started for you? Be sure to see my article on
creating cute school box lunch notes later in this newsletter. My mom used to write notes on my napkins and it's such a sweet thing to find a surprise cheery note. If you don't pack the lunches, send the note to someone who does and they can include it in their bag/box for an extra surprise! Tomorrow is a big day for another reason. Both the Holiday catalog AND new Scrapbooking line go live tomorrow. I have a feeling the internet is going to be extra trying to process orders. Stampin' Up! has recently overhauled their entire system, so things should go without a hitch. But if they do, please be patient if any freezes or glitches happen. I will be around all morning if you run into any snags and will be happy to
assist. I'll send out another email tomorrow morning as a reminder that all things are live, plus photos of the two new kits that will be available as well. Happy Creating! Christine
The Holiday Catalog goes live Tomorrow (9/4)!
I know for some of you, this is your favorite catalog of the year. The 2024 Holiday catalog will go live tomorrow morning! For
those of you who already have your paper copy, get those wish lists out. For those who have not seen the catalog yet, I will share the digital copy with you tomorrow as well as link it to my blog. You will notice that there are no halloween products in this Holiday catalog. All of the Halloween
products are either in the Online Exclusives section of the store or in the new Scrapbooking Brochure. I've listed each of them for you below. My guess is these Halloween products will sell out before Halloween. Order early! The NEW Scrapbooking Line goes live Tomorrow (9/4)!
According to Google: - Scrapbooking is a way to preserve memories for future generations by organizing photos, memorabilia, and other items in a book, box, or card.
- Each page of a scrapbook can tell a story, and scrapbooks can be a way to document personal and family history.
- Scrapbooking can be a fun way to express creativity
through crafting techniques like stamping, watercoloring, and mixed media art.
- Scrapbooks can be a great heirloom for passing down family history.
- Scrapbooking can be a way to remember a beautiful day or a funny and memorable thing that happened.
- Scrapbooking can be a way to see changes and progress and how you overcame difficulties.
Stampin' Up! overall has been a paper crafting company and has focused mainly on card making. This is
now changing! Stampin' Up! is introducing a new scrapbooking line of products tomorrow! More products will be released later in the year and starting next May, all of their scrapbooking products will be included in their Annual Catalog, just like all their other great products. Take a peek at what will be available for purchase tomorrow: Scrapbooking Digital Brochure As I mentioned in my email yesterday, I have a feeling that some/all of these new scrapbooking products will be in high demand by both demonstrators and customers like you. I recommend you order early so you don't miss out on anything.
Today is the Last Day to Sign Up for my Paper & Ribbon Share
I had a few questions about what a Paper Share is and figured some of you may have the same question as well. A Paper
Share is a sampling of all the Designer (patterned/specialty) Paper packs. I offer Paper Shares at the start of each new Stampin' Up! catalog. It allows you to see, feel and use the paper before buying a full pack, all at about a quarter of the price. I order all of the new papers from the latest Stampin’ Up! catalog, cut and label them with the paper's name & coordinating colors, and reship it to those who have purchased Shares. This allows you to have a
sampling of each new patterned paper without having to buy them all. A Ribbon Share works similarly. I divide each spool of ribbon into fourths and label each one. Here is what a past
share looked like:
Your Creativity Productivity Cards Posted!
Back in June I posted about World Productivity Day. I mentioned how we crafters should change the day to World Productivity with Creativity Day
and gave you a challenge. You certainly met it! Here was the challenge: In honor of World Productivity Day, I want everyone to make a card or project (your own design or copying someone else’s) on Thursday, take a photograph and email it to me along with your name and the materials you used. Over the next few weeks, I will post them all on my blog for all to see. Not only will you get more ideas on
what you can make with all of your stamping supplies, but you’ll see that we all celebrated together. I want to thank: Michele White, Linda Carver, Patti Davidson, Anita Palmer, Val Mason, Bobbi Davis, Maria McKiel, Susan Solis, Mary Lou Kirby, Joan MacDonald, Nancy Van Vleet, Karen Halterman, Patte Foreman & Michelle Spriggs for participating. Please click the link below to see their awesome cards.
Back to School Lunch Box Notes I love the birds from the Birds Eye View Stamp Set so much! I try to use them as much as possible. Now is the perfect time to include some cute lunchbox notes in their bag/box for
your little ones. They will love the cute surprise! I created this video to show you how easy it is as well as give recommendations on how to make it with your own supplies. Instead of a lunch box note, imagine this cute bird wearing a Santa hat sitting on some holiday plaid. it's so adaptable. You can tuck the little note in the top of a stocking with a note and/or gift card or attach to a
gift.

Let's "bake" some pies on today's live! I have the new More than Autumn bundle #164076 (that will be available for purchase tomorrow) which has a delicious looking piece of pie included. I thought we could come up with some fun flavors (color combinations) as well as show you an easy way of creating a fancy plate. Watch on these channels, live at 2pm ET today or the replay anytime: FB - https://www.facebook.com/mailsomethingpretty/ YouTube - https://mailsomethingpretty.com/YouTube I go live every Tuesday at 2pm EST and every last Thursday at 8pm ET (for Global live stamping with my Australian Demonstrator crafting friend Ann). Last Thursday was my August joint live with Ann and we both created fun backgrounds for cards using the new Stampin' Glass Mat Studio. This one was a bit long, but we showed some really cool techniques and gave tips throughout. Watch the replay here. The top set were my cards, I showed three ways of
creating backgrounds papers:
Ann did an amazing job creating this multi-layered strip on watercolor paper. It's hard to see in the photo, but there's a shiny gold layer too:
