July 😎 2024 Newsletter - Christine Josti, Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator
It's officially summertime! What that means is different to everyone. How do you celebrate summer? Do you go to the beach, lake or mountains? Do you have ice cream for dinner or do
more grilling or sandwiches? However you celebrate, have fun!!!!! I love a relaxing summer. Gone are the days of bringing the kids to swim meets, camp and playdates (which I did love). My plan is to spend some time on our deck, look out at my garden, listen to the hummingbirds and
read some great books. At least that's the plan....... There's some really exciting things coming in regards to paper crafting this summer & fall that I'll be preparing for as well. I can't wait to share them with you. For now, have a wonderful July and enjoy your summer fun. Christine

In addition to new stamp sets, dies, paper, ribbon & embellishments is the offering of the Glass Mat Studio. You may have seen me and many other demonstrators using this awesome glass mat in their videos during January & February. This mat was a joining incentive during Sale-a-bration and is now available for anyone to purchase (beginning tomorrow, July 3). Benefits of the Glass Mat
Studio: - The heavy-duty glass mat comes printed with a ruler and grid lines for easy measuring.
- The safety-tempered glass has a heat and scratch resistant surface that wipes clean with the included cloth and water—no chemicals needed.
- The reusable cloth also cleans ink off your stamps!
- No need for a Stampin' Pad when stamping with photopolymer stamps.
- Great surface for using Blending Brushes and even Embossing
Paste
- You can write on your mat with white board markers (to keep track of your measurements) and then wipe clean with the included cleaning cloth.
- The nonslip, heat resistant, waterproof silicone mat features four palette squares for mixing custom ink colors or for holding small ink spots in place while crafting.
- Each component can be used separately or you can use all three items together for a multipurpose paper crafting studio that’s both functional and
elegant.

Changing Leaves Bundle is NOT just for Autumn I think one of my favorite new items from the new Online Exclusives lineup is the the Changing Leaves bundle #164139. This bundle includes three items: a stamp set & hybrid embossing folder. A hybrid embossing folder contains
both a die & embossing folder. The die & embossing folder can work together or stand on their own, which makes them super versatile!
A lot of times, stampers use leaf stamps in autumn/fall colors of crushed curry, cherry cobbler, pumpkin pie & mossy meadow. Don't get me wrong, those colors are wonderful together and would work great with this set, but you don't have to be limited to those fall colors. Use bright
greens for early spring like I did in the examples below, or create your own leaf palette of any colors - there's nothing wrong with pink, purple or blue leaves.
My stamping friend Jenny made this special card for me with the Changing Leaves bundle. After receiving it, I ordered the bundle for myself. The texture is so beautiful & detailed in person. I love the colors she choose: beige as the background, pumpkin pie & petunia pop for the leaves, and summer splash for the sentiment. It's happy happy!
▶️ Be sure to check out the ONLINE EXCLUSIVES section of the store tomorrow to see all of the new products - including Christmas! And don't forget that each increment of $50 earns you a $5 coupon to use in August.

Today is my mom's birthday 🎂 🎉. I'm so lucky that we live in the same town and she is always up for doing anything and going anywhere with me and my family, even before she hears what it is! We will be hosting her & my dad for dinner, and more family & friends for birthday cake. This means that I will be busy
preparing the house, dinner & cake for guests this afternoon and won't be able to do our weekly live. But I don't want to leave you empty handed. This is one of the cakes we will be baking. We have enough people coming that we need two cakes! (the second cake is devils food with coconut frosting). This classic cake is a favorite in our household and sure to be
a favorite in yours too. Click the picture for the recipe & be sure to print it! We always make more frosting than the recipe calls for. We make at least 1-1/2 or double the recipe, especially if we want to sample a few licks.

Last Thursday was my monthly joint live with Ann Lewis, my demonstrator friend from Australia. We both created card projects using the Ephemera packs. I struggled a bit with the figuring out the right pronunciation (F-remra). I
have never used Ephemera packs these before and it proved to be a little challenge for me. Here's what Ann & I thought of the Ephemera packs: - The packs are really meant to work together, not on their own. Many of the words/phrases in the Saying Something pack was specifically designed to pair with the images of the Something for Everything and Fully Flowering packs.
- You can create cards
with regular card stock bases, but they really do work nicely with the Mix & Match Cards & Envelopes or on top of geometric patterned paper.
- A few of our attendees suggested that the Ephemera packs would be GREAT for kids & grandkids to create cards simply by attaching the pre-printed,
pre-cut papers with a glue stick. We agreed!
If you would like to see Ann & myself using these packs, you can Watch the replay here.
Today is the Last Day to Sign Up for Stamp Club
Today is the last day to sign up for my Stamp Club. As I mentioned in prior emails, this will be the last time my Club is structured this way. I've structured my Club this way for many years, but Host Codes will be disappearing in 2025 and I will have to make changes to go along with that. The good news is.......there will be a change to Stampin' Rewards that will benefit
everyone. Stay tuned for more Reward information in the future. If you are interested in joining my Stamp Club, whether you live near or far, please email me today saying you would like to join (or if you have questions). You can read about Club Details here.
