Time is getting closer and closer to Christmas so I will be showing you easy to replicate projects going forward.  You can copy them exactly, or take the elements and turn them into your own.

I believe in sustainability and the the 3 R's - reduce, reuse and recycle.  When I go shopping, I try to think of how I can reduce packaging, reuse the packaging or at least recycle the packaging.  I LOVE these jars!  Not only is the jam delicious and readily available in most supermarkets, but the jars themselves are great to use (and reuse) after the jam is finished.  I store leftover sauces in them and reuse them for gifts as my projects will show you today.  (They are also fantastic jars to use when you make your own caramel and hot fudge sauce).

I filled the jars with chocolate treats from Trader Joes: salted chocolate covered almonds, peppermint meltaways and mini mint chocolate covered star cookies. You can fill your jars with any delicious treats.

Instructions:

• With Real Red ink, stamp the decorative outline first and then the sentiment image onto Basic White card stock.
• Punch out with Labeled with Love punch.
• Punch two labels out of Real Red card stock with Labeled with Love punch.
• Glue all three together with left and right red borders.
• Stamp bow onto Shaded Spruce card stock with black ink.  Cut out with scissors.
• Attach bow to label with dimensionals.
• Cut 10" of Black & Vanilla Gingham Ribbon.
• Place Tear & Tape on top of entire piece of Ribbon.  Peel backing off and place/adhere to jar.  
• Attach label with dimensionals over seam.

Elves Label

• Stamp striped circle with Real Red ink onto Basic White card stock.  Stamp the sentiment inside the circle with Black ink.
• Punch out with 1-3/4" circle punch.
• Stamp elf hat and boots with black ink onto Basic White card stock.  Color in with Blends Markers.  Cut out with scissors (keep the two boots as one piece for easier cutting).
• Punch Shaded Spruce circle with 2" circle punch and glue two circles together.
• Add hat & boots with dimensionals.
• Cut 10" of Vanilla Satin Ribbon.
• Place Tear & Tape on top of entire piece of Ribbon.  Peel backing off and place/adhere to jar.  
• Attach label with dimensionals over seam.

Wrapped with Love Label

• Stamp striped circle with Real Red ink onto Basic White card stock.  Punch out with 1-3/4" circle punch.
• Stamp "Wrapped with Love" in Real Red ink onto Basic White card stock.  Punch out with 3/4" circle punch.
• Punch 1" circle with Shaded Spruce card stock. 
• Layer and adhere all circles together.  I used a dimensional on the smallest circle.
• Stamp bow with Black ink on Real Red card stock.  Cut out with scissors and adhere to layered circles with dimensional.
• Cut 10" of Shaded Spruce Ribbon.
• Place Tear & Tape on top of entire piece of Ribbon.  Peel backing off and place/adhere to jar.  
• Attach label with dimensionals over seam.

The Jars I Used

Not only are all varieties of this Bonne Maman jam and preserves delicious, they come in a very nice re-usable jars and red & white checkered lids.  There is also some mystery around the history of the jam and it's ties to saving hundreds of Jewish children escape during the Holocaust. Read story.
