Have you ever
noticed how crafting makes you feel? That little spark of joy when you pick out colors, the calmness as you stamp and assemble, and the pride when you see your finished project? That’s because crafting isn’t just a hobby—it’s a powerful tool for creativity, connection, and well-being!
Here’s why making time for crafting is so rewarding:
- Stress Reliever & Mood Booster – The
simple act of creating helps reduce stress and brings happiness!
- Keeps Your Mind Sharp – Learning new techniques, planning layouts, and working with colors improve focus and memory.
- Builds Community – Whether you craft alone or with friends, being part of a creative circle brings joy and connection.
- Handmade = Heartfelt – A handmade card or gift carries love and meaning, making it extra special for the
recipient.
- Endless Possibilities – Whether you're crafting for fun, gifting, or even selling your creations, the possibilities are endless!
As March's National Crafting Month is wrapping up, be sure to keep celebrating and remembering why we craft all year long.
Back in December, there was a story on CBS's Sunday Morning that featured Jane Fonda and her Secrets of Aging Well
& Gracefully (she's a vibrant and beautiful 87 years old). She and studies say her "secret" will add 7-1/2 years to live longer. Want a clue to her secret? It's "building a community by taking art classes" (singing, theater, dance, flower arranging, painting, crafting......you get the idea). Something we love doing anyways!
I encourage you to watch the video (it's only 4 minutes long) and
get ready to be inspired! Feel free to share it with friends too.
