May 2025 Newsletter - Christine Josti, Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator
You've been waiting all year for a new Annual Catalog and it is finally here! The paper crafting world is all abuzz this morning and I hope you find joy in it too. My preorder just arrived
and I can't wait to dig into the box, play with the new colors and two suites I ordered. You may even see them on today's live! (Live will be on YouTube only beginning today and the replays can be watched on both YouTube & Facebook. The explanation is below). Be sure to read all of the information I put together for you below as there is a lot of information!!!! Happy reading, happy creating and happy May!!!
The New Annual Catalog Begins Today!
Today is a happy day! The new 2025/6 Annual Catalog begins!!! You will notice as you look at your paper or digital copy that there is a lot more scrapbooking products included in this catalog than in the past. Scrapbooking is becoming popular again and Stampin' Up! wants to be sure scrapbookers have a wide range of selections and
inspiration. Not all products are shown in the catalog! This is important to keep in mind and remember. I think of the catalog as a gateway ,or introduction to what Stampin' Up! offers and is about. You can view ALL of the products sold by Stampin' Up! online at www.stampinup.com. I like to search for products in two ways: - Use the menu or toolbar options to find a category of what you are looking for. There is a both a menu and a toolbar:
- The toolbar goes across the top of the homepage: menu, what's new, specials, blog and join. Each of these
is a drop down menu.
- If you click on menu, all of the categories that Stampin' Up! has will be listed and may also have sub sections.
- Use the search box that is located on the top right of the homepage. You can be vague or specific when looking for products. All items that contain that word or description will be found and shown.
Another great way of
looking for products, specifically new products is to click on the What's New category. By using this option, you won't miss any of the new products that are in either the paper catalog or only online. Stampin' Up! now offers too many products to be listed in the paper catalog! I am loving these new In Colors! A new set of 5 colors, called In Colors, are introduced in each new Annual Catalog and will be around for 2 years. Strawberry Slush may sound familiar.
It retired a few years ago and brought back for the next two years. I'm very excited about it's return. You can order the following colors in the new In Color colors: - ink pads*
- ink refill*
- Card Stock
- Two-Tone Paper
- Stampin' Write Markers (the whole set). Be aware that the Stampin' Write Markers are not shown in the catalog (in any sets of colors) but
are shown online.
- Blends Markers
- Ribbon
*Please Note that you can not get Cloud Color in an ink pad or ink refill due to inconsistent production issues. - A chemical reaction between our Cloud Cover ink formula and the chemical makeup of the firm foam used in our Classic Stampin’ Pads has been determined to be the cause of the color shift.
- Such a reaction is rare, but the chemistry can play tricks, even
after development and our rigorous quality testing.
- Because this was an unforeseen issue, we are unable to predict when the shift in color will occur. In one batch of pads, the color accuracy met quality standards. In another, the shift is too significant to pass our tests. Because we pride ourselves on offering beautiful coordinating colors, this inconsistency simply won’t do. Therefore, we will not release Cloud Cover Classic Stampin’ Pads.
I'll be thinking on some workarounds on finding substitutes for the Cloud Cover ink Stay tuned!
New Line of Online Exclusive Products Begins Today!
Six times a year, Stampin' Up! introduces new products. This is also why not all products can be included in the paper catalog. They call these sets of products "Online Exclusives". In addition to the new catalog that is launching today, a new set of products in the "Online Exclusives" is also launching. So there are even more new things to see! View & Shop the new (and all) Online Exclusives Products.
TODAY is the Last Day to Order Your Paper Share
I offer Paper Shares at the start of each new Stampin’ Up! catalog. It allows you to see, feel and use the paper before buying a full pack, at about a quarter of the price. I order all of the new papers from the latest Stampin’ Up! catalog, cut and label them with the paper’s name & coordinating colors, and reship it to those who have purchased Shares. This allows you to
have a sampling of each new patterned paper without having to buy them all. Each pack of paper is divided into four shares, cut into 6″ x 12″ sheets (unless it’s comes 6″ x 6″). I choose to cut the paper 6″ x 12″ in size because I believe it is more usable this way. If you are interested in signing up for a Paper Share, today is the last day! Click this link

New Stampin' Rewards - More Details
Before you can earn rewards, you need to “opt in” to the new rewards program. All you need to do is log into your account at www.stampinup.com. If you forgot your password, you can reset it at the log in page. A pop up box should appear asking if you
want to opt in. If it does, all you need to do is click yes. If a pop up box does not appear, please click on hello, (your name) in the upper right corner and click rewards. You will see a section where you can opt in. If you want to check on the status of your rewards points, you should be able to see them in the upper right section of the homepage after you log in. You can also see more detail by
clicking hello (your name) in the upper right corner and click rewards. Important - Please also check your account to be sure you are opted in for me to contact you. I noticed that there are several people, including those in my monthly Club, that have that option as "Opt Out”. You will find this option (somewhere) in your account settings. I think this new rewards program is a great change as now everyone can participate in earning their own rewards, unlike the past program. If you have any questions about this, or anything else, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me. The below video highlights how the new
Stampin' Rewards works, both for earning and redeeming. I think it's really helpful. It's only 6 minutes long. This video was made for demonstrators, but most of it will apply for you too.
New Starter Kit Special! During the month of May, you can sign up to be a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator (and get a 20% discount on all future orders, plus many other perks) for a great offer. Choose $165 worth of products (of your choosing) for only $99! This is the best offer Stampin' Up!

New Information Regarding My Lives!
Beginning today, my lives will be "live" on my YouTube channel only. Once they are complete and downloaded, I will upload them to my Facebook page for you to watch the replay (you can watch the replay on my YouTube too). So, if you want to watch them live, you will have to watch them on my YouTube channel: https://mailsomethingpretty.com/YouTube. Be sure to subscribe to my channel while you are there and then you will receive a notification whenever I go live or upload a video. If you are wondering why I've had to make the change, please keep reading. If you are not wondering, skip ahead to
the next section of this newsletter 😄 Actually, there are two reasons why I've had to change how I stream my lives: - The software I use to stream my lives is called StreamYard and they have increased their pricing to more than double. It has become too cost prohibitive to continue with the paid version. I will now be using their free service which will only let me stream to one channel at a time.
- Facebook is
now deleting live streamed videos after 30 days. So it now makes sense to stream live to YouTube and then download the YouTube version onto Facebook where it won't be deleted after 30 days. (I have no idea why Facebook is deleting live videos now).
- For the time being, I believe Ann & my monthly joint lives will continue on both locations (we will be using Ann's account instead of mine). In the future, we may have to change things up so please be patient with us.
I will post the date of our next joint live soon. Ann is returning home from a month long holiday this week.
Today I'm going to copy another birthday card that was sent to me (from Anita) and create it with some new In Colors and products. You can watch live at 2pm ET (1pm CT, 12pm, MT & 11am PT) on YouTube: https://mailsomethingpretty.com/YouTube You'll be able to watch the replay on both YouTube & Facebook.
