As striking as this card is, it's rather quick and easy to put together. If you are making multiples of this card, it will go quicker if you cut all of your pieces first. You can cut all but one piece in one pass of the machine. You'll just have to do a second pass for the extra long greenery.
This is a great card
(because nothing is complicated) to put together while watching your favorite Christmas movie.
Misty Moonlight card stock: 11” x 4-1/4”, scored at 5-1/2” [card base]
Basic Beige 5" x 3-3/4" [inside]
Instructions
Fold Misty Moonlight card base in half. Insert and center front into Peaceful Greenery 3D Embossing Folder and run through machine to emboss.
Cut one each label shapes from dies, larger shape in Basic Gray and smaller shape in Basic Beige.
Stamp "Peace on Earth" with Secret Sea ink onto the Basic Beige label
shape.
Adhere two label shapes together with glue.
Cut out both doves with Basic White, 2 larger greenery pieces with Secret Sea and one smaller greenery piece with Secret Sea.
With dimensionals, adhere the label shapes.
Attach smaller dove, smaller greenery (into the mouth of the dove) and two larger greenery pieces onto the label with glue.
Tie a bow with the linen thread and attach to right sided greenery pieces (I attached to the glue that was
seeping out from when I attached the greenery rather than adding more).
Attach the inside Basic Beige layer to the inside and add the second dove.
My philosophy on Christmas card making is to keep it simple and easily duplicatable. Many of us make multitudes of holiday cards and there is no way we can spend an hour on each card.
If this is your first week, thank you for joining my list. These 12 Weeks of Christmas tutorials are exclusively for those on my mailing
list. I will not be sending out prior weeks.
Feel free to copy exactly, use as inspiration or save for future use. I recommend creating a folder in your email system (naming it 12 Weeks of Christmas or similar) to save each week. That way, when you are ready to get creating, the ideas/emails will easily be found.
Enjoy!
