My usual philosophy on Christmas card making is to keep it simple and easily duplicatable.  Many of us make multitudes of holiday cards and there is no way we can spend an hour on each card.

However, this fun fold is easy to duplicate and really doesn't use too much designer series paper.  You can create a little assembly line for mass production, or save it for someone you want to send a special card to since it does use a little more card stock than the usual open and close card.

Another option is to substitute the back pattern with solid embossed card stock if you find you don't have enough pattern paper.

Stampin’ Blends: Old Olive #154892 & Real Red #154899

Paper: Basic White #166780 , Real Red #102482, Gold Foil #132622 and Traditions of Christmas 12” x 12” Specialty Designer Series Paper #165853*

Other: Real Red ½” Shiny Ribbon #165876, Paper Trimmer #152392, Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine #149653, Multipurpose Liquid Glue #110755 & Stampin’ Dimensionals #104430

Measurements

• Real Red: 5 ½” x 4 ¼”
• Basic White: 11” x 4 ¼”; 3 ¼” x 2”; 3” x 1 ¼”
• Gold Foil: 2 ¼” x 3 ¼”
• Designer Series Paper: 1 ¾” x 4” (2 pieces); 1 ½” x 4” (2 pieces); 1” x 4” (2 pieces)

Instructions

1. Score the Basic White (11” x 4 ¼”) at 2”, 3 ¾”, 7 ¼”; 9” and use the Bone Folder to crease on the score lines.
2. Fold the Basic White on the score lines (see picture below)
3. Glue the Designer Series Paper (1 ¾” x 4”) to outside panels and (1 ½” x 4”) to inside panels.
4. Stamp the sentiment on the inside panel in Real Red ink.
5. Glue the Designer Series Paper (1” x 4”) to the Real Red cardstock on either side.
6. Glue the Basic White to the Real Red in the middle of the piece.
7. Stamp the holly image twice on Basic White and color with Old Olive and Real Red Stampin’ Blends.
8. With the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, cut out the holly images with the coordinating die.
9. With the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, cut out the smaller rectangle from Basic White and larger rectangle from Gold Foil using the Jolly Holly dies.
10. Stamp the Basic White rectangle with sentiment in Real Red.
11. Glue the holly to either side of the sentiment.
12. Glue the Basic White rectangle to the Gold Foil.
13. Glue the right half of the rectangle to the right panel, allowing left side to float unattached.
14. Wrap the ribbon around the left panel and tie in a bow at the top.
15. Slip the left side of the rectangle under the ribbon to hold in place.
