This fun fold is called a book binders fold.  You can create cards in both portrait and landscape positions with this fold.  Today's card shows two different samples of the portrait position.  The main pattern paper is cut 3" x 5-1/4" which means you can get 8 per sheet of 12" x 12" paper.  I used the same pack of paper for both samples.

Measurements

• 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”, scored at 3-1/4" & 4-1/4” [card base] (Real Red for Version A and Pool Party for Version B)
• Pattern Paper: right larger side 3" x 5-1/4" and left strip 13/16" x 5-1/4"
• Inside (if you use a dark color): 3" x 5-1/4"

Instructions

1. Score your card base and fold on score lines.
2. Glue together the middle section so the card opens like a book (this is why it's called a bookbinding fold).
3. Adhere the larger right side pattern paper.
4. Adhere the left strip of paper - I abutted the right edge of the paper right along the score line.  This makes all borders (left, middle & right) the same width.
5. Decorate the front 
6. Version A - Use the included ephemera cut outs (dogs, bears, houses) from the paper pack.  Layer on top of a 2-3/4" Balmy Blue circle to make it stand out from the pattern of the paper on the card.
7.  Version B - Stamp Santa or an elf in Memento Black ink from Festive friends on white paper and cut out with die.  Color with Blends Markers.  Stamp greeting in black ink on scrap white and cut to size.
8. Adhere images with dimensionals.
9. Tie Red & White Baker's twine around the glued together edge with a bow.
10. Stamp inside if you wish.

My philosophy on Christmas card making is to keep it simple and easily duplicatable.  Many of us make multitudes of holiday cards and there is no way we can spend an hour on each card.
