Sometimes you need to make just a few more Christmas cards and don't have or you run out of Christmas paper.  Look through your stash and see if you can find any "Christmas-like" colors.  For this week's card, I used pink, green & blue from the (summer) Cheers & Sips Designer Series Paper.  There weren't four patterns in the pack that would work for Christmas, so I used a solid color and added texture with an embossing folder to make it a less plain.  All you need to do is look at your paper a little differently (or in a panic 😉).

Measurements

• Basic White Card stock: 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”, scored at 4-1/4” [card base]
• Basic White 3-3/4" x 5"
• 1/2" strips

Instructions

1. Emboss front of White Card Base with Soft Waves Embossing Folder.  Fold in half.
2. On 3-3/4" x 5" white piece, stamp "fa la la" with Secret Sea Ink on bottom right corner.
3. Attach 1/2" strips (4 patterns) in chevron pattern.  Use a silicone mat underneath to catch any glue from overhang strips.
4. Trim excess strips with Paper Trimmer.

6. Attach to front of card base.
7. Stamp elf in Black Memento Ink on scrap white and color with Blends Markers.
8. Cut out with die and attach to card with dimensionals.
9. Add three gems alongside the left chevron edge.
10. Stamp inside the card.

My philosophy on Christmas card making is to keep it simple and easily duplicatable.  Many of us make multitudes of holiday cards and there is no way we can spend an hour on each card.
