April 2026 Newsletter Christine Josti, Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator
No fools jokes from me today. I think I'm still tramatized from the April 1st two feet of snow that fell in 1996. Just typing this I realize that was 30 years ago! We were only married a few
months, living upstairs from my husband's grandparents and I was supposed to start a new job that day......I did not start on that day because we were snowed in. Do you have any fun jokes you play? For those of you who celebrate Easter - a very Happy Easter to you and your
families.
I've been on a Watercolor Pencil coloring kick. There are so many great stamps that are designed to be colored. Below are just three of them. Stampin' Up!'s Watercolor
Pencils can be used as regular colored pencils, or you can make them have a "watercolor" look by coloring on top of the colored area with a Blender Pen (you can use the water pens too). Color with just a solid color, or mix colors together. Becoming an artist has never been so easy. They come in two different packs and are a great value for getting
so many different colors. Watercolor Pencils. When using Watercolor
Pencils with the Blender Pen (or Water Pen), you must use StazOn Ink. This ink is designed to not bleed when water is introduced to it. It's a permanent ink which also means your stamps will become stained, but the staining will not affect your stamping. HOWEVER - beginning in May, you'll also be able to use Stampin' Up!'s new Hybrid Black ink instead of
both StazOn ink and Memento Ink. When using this new ink, you'll be able to use your Blender Pens AND Blends Markers - no longer will you remember which black ink you need to use!
StazOn Black Ink (101406) is currently on low inventory and will no longer be available for sale once it sells out. If you have
and like StazOn Black Ink, you may want to stock up on the StazOn Black Ink Refill (102566), which is also on low inventory and will no longer be available for ordering once it sells out. I also highly recommend getting some StazOn Stain Cleaner (109196) and using it right after you are done using the ink in your crafting. Many times I wait too long so my stamps are pretty stained (but well loved). The cleaner also works great on removing stains from your clear blocks and craft table.
These trio of birds have become a favorite of mine. They are from the Cutest Crew bundle (167149) and is unfortunately out of stock, but is expected back the week of April 27.
I also used the Notecards & Envelopes for this card. I think making a set of these and giving them away would make a great gift. I used the Black Journaling Pen on this card as well by simply taking a ruler (or straight edge) and drawing lines around the piece of white card stock. It really makes the birds stand out.
These Blender Pens (102845) are like magic pens. I was introduced to them way back when I first learned stamping 19 years ago. You get three
pens in each pack and each pen has two tips - so it's like 6 pens. They will last you forever.
Here's a fun card we made at Club last month using the Watercolor Pencils too! Watch the video to see how it comes together (as well as how I use the Blender pens):
The Cutest Crew bundle (167149) is currently out of stock (stamp set is available, but the dies are not). However, it's expected back in stock the week of April 27. If this, or any other product that you want is currently out of stock, you can add your email to the notifications list. Once it's back in stock, you'll get an email from Stampin' Up!.
