Showcasing the Versatile Thoughtful Octopus set

If you've been watching my lives this past month, you've seen that I've been having fun with the Thoughtful Octopus stamp set. I have a new sample to show you in today's email as well as a recap on the previous projects.

This versatile set has great sentiments for octopus and non-octopus cards. Plus, you can use the birthday hat, balloon, heart, foliage and cupcakes on many different cards & projects.

Beware, there are no dies for this set so you have to use your trusty paper snips if you want anything cut out. I have full confidence you can cut out the images.

I think after seeing all of these examples, you will fall in love with the set just like I did!

I haven't read this book yet (or seen the movie), but it's on my waiting list. I know many of you who read my emails are in book clubs and designed this bookmark for you!

Do you give bookmarks as gifts? Here's a quick recap on what I did:

Cut base 3" x 5-1/2". The one on the left is Azure Afternoon and the one on the right is Hydrangea Hue.
Stamp sea plants and sea on bottom. I used the ink colors: Peaceful Piine, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Highland Heather and Pecan Pie.
Stamp Octopus on scrap yellow with Timid Tiger ink. On left, I used Daffodil Delight and on right I used Lemon Lolly. Let dry for many minutes.
With Versa Mark ink, stamp the tentacles on octopus arms and spots on head. Use white embossing powder and heat.
With Versa mark ink, stamp sentiment and repeat with white embossing powder and heat. I used the "You make the world a better place" from the Fern & Flora set (167739).
Stamp face on octopus and cut out with scissors. This is not easy cutting, but with patience, you can do it!
Glue octopus onto bookmark with multipurpose liquid glue.
Stamp any sea horses. I used Pool Party ink.
