If you live in Massachusetts, then this weekend is an upcoming holiday for you. It's Tax Free Weekend! All Stampin' Up! products are tax-free Saturday and Sunday. Take a look at your wish lists and celebrate the "holiday". Paper
Trimmers, All-Inclusive Card kits, Product Suites and the Stamparatus all make great gifts to give (think ahead to Christmas). Ask some girlfriends to each order the Christmas Countdown Project kit 150703, $30 and then plan a date to make it all together in the Fall. This is a great teen project too! All you need is the kit
& glue. If you need ideas on what to give a loved one, I would be happy to chat and make recommendations for you.
There are only 123 Days until Christmas!!!!!!
I don't know about you, but every early November this happens to me: I have high hopes of wrapping, decorating, boxing a gift or treat I make for the Holidays with care, creativity and joy. Once the second or third week of December arrives, I am scrambling to find the
purchased gifts, running out to the store to buy more molasses, butter or flour, finding clutter on the countertops and throwing it all in a box (that I will re-discover in February) and laughing at my earlier thoughts of decorating my gifts nicely, and being grateful my daughter wraps them for me. She does a very nice job, but she has her own thoughts on what they should look like and I'm not allowed to interfere. That's okay though because she is getting it done
for me while I am doing the other 100 things on m to-do list.
Now is the time to think about gift & treat packaging. Not mid December. Plan what you want to give and choose your packaging options now.
Stampin' Up! offers many treat options, which are all food safe and top quality. The newly designed Stampin' Up! Online Store has a new "packaging" section too - with all the products from both catalogs shown together - here is a direct link.
Below are thumbnail photos of the packaging options, so you can see all the possibilities together. Super cute tins, coffee cups & holders (that can hold hot liquid up to 200 degrees and is big enough to insert a gift card), different types of boxes to contain cards you make as gifts and treat bags for chocolates, candies and baked goods. I am sure you can come up with more gifts to give using these packaging options.
As I stated above, think about what you want to give as a holiday gift now and plan out the presentation so you are all set come December. No more scrambling, no more running out of time.
I love it when you share things with me! Jill forwarded this poem to me yesterday and I think it will bring a smile to all of your faces! Thanks Jill!!!
She learned to stamp on Monday
Her embossing was quite fine.
She forgot to set out dinner,
She brayered backgrounds Tuesday
She says they are a must.
They really were quite lovely
On Wednesday it was birthday cards
She says that chalking's fun.
Shading, blending, and watercoloring --
But the laundry wasn't done.
Her card swap was on Thursday
Using green and blue and red;
I guess she really was engrossed,
It was shaker cards on Friday
Using techniques she just adores,
But she never seemed to notice
The crumbs on all the floors.
I found a maid on Saturday!
My wife can stamp the hours away;
The house will still be neat.
Well, it's already Sunday,
And my forehead's feeling damp.
I cursed, I raved, and I ranted --
The MAID has learned to stamp!
