What a glorious day today! I'm itching to get outside once all my work is done. I may have to take an extended break because work is never "done", right? As you will see, there is a lot of Stampin' Up! news to share. I think I have it all in here, but will be sending out more in depth info during the month too. Good luck to all of those who have
school aged kids and their "new normal" school year. I know each school, town & state are all doing it differently. My son, who is in his senior year of college, will be home doing a remote fall semester. My daughter, who is a senior in high school, will be going in person every other day with remote on the off days. Both of their senior years are not what we envisioned one year ago. But, we are very lucky to be healthy and have all of those in our lives
healthy too. I hope you are having the same experience with those in your lives.
The NEW Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine is Now Available!
First, I think we need to rename this machine as it is very long. Any suggestions? This machine replaces the Big Shot that retired over a year ago. We have been waiting a long time for this day, but the wait was worth it! Here are just some of the highlights:
- Durable with high-quality results. The solid steel construction frame and rubber feet that securely grip the work surface produce crisp, clean, precise cutting and beautifully detailed embossing.
- Easy to use. The machine and tools are designed for an intuitive die-cutting and embossing experience. For example, all plates are labeled with a number and are color coded for easy reference and use when building your sandwich. And just like the name suggests, our Magnetic Cutting Plates have fully-magnetic surfaces to make it easy to securely position your
dies and keep them in place.
- Simple to store. The platform folds for space-saving storage and looks pretty too–the sleek, clean design suits any crafting space.
- Portable. You can use at home or on the go with the folding platform and ergonomic carrying handle. It’s also convenient if you like to attend crops or other crafting get togethers with friends.
Machine Highlights
- Wide 6" platform for all your crafting needs.
- Weighs approximately 8.1 pounds. Platform folds to make transporting easy and to take up less space when storing.
- Works with all Stampin’ Cut & Emboss dies and embossing folders.
- Simple to make a sandwich. Includes plates that are labeled with a number and are color coded for easy use.
- All the plates you need to get started are included: 1 Base Plate (Plate 1), 1 Die Plate (Plate 2), 2 Cutting Plates (Plate 3), and 1 Specialty Plate (Plate 4).
- Additional plates are available - Magnetic Cutting Platform, Impression Mats and extra (clear) Cutting Plates for when they get over used.
- Great for seasoned crafters who want a solution for all their die cutting and embossing needs.
If you add the Magnetic platform and one more thing for $6, you will qualify for $15 in Stampin' Rewards - choose an embossing folder $7.50 -10 to use with your new machine, replacement clear cutting plates for $11 or anything else for free. *Orders over $150 earn Stampin' Rewards - 10% of your order in free products.
Great News! The new Magnetic Plate does not have a pacemaker warning like the old one did (I just confirmed this with Stampin' Up!).
I can't wait to order my Magnetic plate which is very different than the Big Shot one. It is one whole sheet of magnet instead of 40 small magnets spread throughout the platform. This means, no more die jumping (that drove me crazy)! And no more switching bulky platforms between the dies and folders. Use the same platform for everything and switch out the thin
plates.
Magnetic Plate Details - Thin, fully magnetic sheet with self-healing cutting surface. Magnetic Cutting Plate (plate 5) holds dies securely in place, even nested dies. This slim, portable sheet replaces a Cutting Plate in your sandwich, making it even easier to take with you.
The cute Mini Machine is coming Soon!
(No release date yet but I think it will be before the Holidays)
I recommend you write the order date and number on the bottom of you machine in permanent marker. Stampin' Up! offers a 3-year free of defects Warranty on the machine. You may forget where you put the paperwork, but having it on the bottom of the machine will mean it never gets
lost.
New & More Precise Way to Put Stickers on Cling Stamps
I hope you know by now that we all share ideas. Some of my own, but MANY are discovered, created and designed by others. Stampin' Up! is all about sharing and this idea of putting on stickers to your Cling stamps is one of those ideas I discovered from a Club
member who forwarded me a video from a Demonstrator who discovered it from one of her team members. I made this video and am loving this new way of attaching my stickers to the stamps. (I show you the original way in the video too).
Tip on Conserving Glimmer Paper
I was prepping for my September Club meeting and discovered a good way to conserve the precious glitter paper - no sparkle gone to waste. I traced the bats dies onto scrap card stock (shown in yellow) and cut out. Then I traced this template on the back side of the black glitter paper. Cut each traced piece out to put in your
die cutting machine. The little scraps that are left behind can be used to cut extra smaller bats. This newly designed glimmer paper is so much easier to work with than prior glimmer papers. It's much thinner which makes cutting a breeze. Comes in colors: Rainbow, Black and Balmy Blue.
Curious about the above bat project? I will be filming a video on how to make this box card too (no need to worry). It may look complicated, but it's really pretty easy.
Did you know that the new Wonder of the Season Specialty Paper has actual recipes and North Pole stories? Santa's hot chocolate, Mrs. Claus's Cheese Fondue, Fruitcake and Salt Dough for Handmade Ornaments. Printed in beautiful Red Foil Ink (just like Santa likes
to use). It makes for beautiful gift wrapping and fun recipe cards too.
Most Popular Item Ordered Over the Weekend
Many of you ordered over the weekend (thank you) and received my promotion of 6 handmade cards, which were mailed to you yesterday. I thought it interesting that 3 of you ordered the new Banners Pick a Punch all on the same day, without any prompting from me. Because of this
popularity, I thought I should highlight it now so everyone can see the many options you can make from this one punch. I can't show you any of my own samples because I don't have this punch (yet). Not only can you make many variations and layers of tags, but you can use the banners to create backgrounds.
Banners Pick a Punch Description:
The Banners Pick a Punch is six punches in one! Punch banners in two designs, three widths, any length. It’s convenient, versatile, and available exclusively from Stampin’ Up!
* Punch 1/2", 3/4", 1" widths, any length.
Punches are a quick and easy way to add die-cut shapes that add interest and depth to your projects. And punches are a great way to cut out stamped images—many of our stamp sets have coordinating punches. Our punches are high quality, affordable, and easy to use.
The Clearance Rack is updated with newly added & reduced items.
Take a peek as there are loads of items at really low prices.
The Card kits would make great Holiday gifts, ribbons & embellishments, card stock & patterned papers, punches, dies.........
Storage & Transporting Option for New Cut & Emboss Plates
Since the new Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine is super portable, it makes sense to have a portable system for the plates too. I saw another Demonstrator show this and tried it myself. It works out great. You can store your platform, plates, dies and folders in the Craft
& Carry Stamparatus Bag. Throw it over your shoulder and off you go to a fun, crafting event or friend's kitchen table.
Obviously, the bag also works great for your Stamparatus and accompanying plates, mat and grid paper.
I fanned the plates out so you could see them in the pockets. They all tuck in and the case zippers perfectly.
Join Stampin' Up! in September and Get More!
Most of you read that I was at a Stampin' Up! Leadership Summit this weekend where 1000 leaders from around the world gathered together (virtually) to share, connect, learn, grow and enjoy being with each other. This January will mark my 14th year of joining Stampin' Up! and I have enjoyed every
moment of it.
Did you know that most of the 60,000 Demonstrators from around the world join because they love to craft? It's almost a running joke that when asked, most will say "I joined for the discount". Some keep enjoying the discount for years and years, but some (and some very successfully) turn the love of crafting and quality products into something more. That "more" varies with each
person.
I will be sending out a separate email with lots more details of why I think YOU should join Stampin' Up! and why so many others do and why they stay. In short, it's because of the communities that are created - small scale communities of two or three people gathering together to large scale ones like my weekend was and many in-between.
Stampin' Up! is running a very special promotion this September with their Starter Kit. It's called Get & Go. The reason for the Get & Go name is, get a fully customizable Starter Kit, plus all of the items shown below (September only) and go create with others with these extra add-ons. You will get two card kits of 8 each
to gather with friends and create cards. This creatns an Instant class, instant teaching, instant sharing, instant falling in love with stamping with no design work, no prep work and no stress. Full disclosure - this Get & Go promotion was created prior to COVID19 came into play. We know that not everyone is able to gather in person at present time, BUT there are many other ways to create together. I can help you with this.
Again, I will go into more details in a later email, but I wanted to let you all know and invite you all to take advantage of this opportunity because it launches TODAY.
The Get & Go Starter Kit includes the regular Starter Kit PLUS two card kits (8 cards each), two stamp sets to use with the kits and a pack of Rhinestone Jewels. A value of over $50.
Important note: Ink, adhesive, paper trimmer, and clear blocks or Stamparatus for stamping must be purchased separately. However, these products may be included as part of the Starter Kit product selection. It looks like they used either Coastal Cabana and Night of Navy Ink in these samples.
I am HAPPY to chat, answer your questions, concerns and convince you on why you should join.
