February 2021 Newsletter - Christine Josti, Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator
Happy February!
February is a month filled with reasons to make and send cards - I know I have a lot of team members who have February birthdays. The obvious reason is Valentines day. But, you can also make & send cards for:
Feb. 4 - Thank a Mail Person Day
Feb. 7 - Send a Card to a Friend Day
Feb. 11 - Make a Friend Day
Feb. 20 - Love Your Pet Day
Here are some easy Valentines cards that you can copy exactly or use as reference. Hardly any stamping. All of the hearts (except the love heart) were cut from the Stitched Be Mine dies151814, $35 (but you can use any heart shapes you have).
The first card uses the Berry Delightful paper that is free with a $100 purchase during Sale-a-bration (the paper comes bundled free with the Berry Blessings stamp set). The XO (from the same paper) is cut with the Playful Alphabet Dies 152706, $34. The "I couldn't ask for a sweeter friend" is from the Cute Fruit stamp set 153301 $16 (found in the Beginner Brochure).
The second card is made with the Arrange a Wreath Dies and Woodland Embossing folder 152881, $8.50. (Arrange a Wreath is sold as one of my favorite bundles, stamp set & dies, 154109, $54)
The last card uses the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing folder 149643, $10, polka dot paper, red velvet paper from the holiday mini (you can use plain red) and the Brushed Metallic foil paper (use any shiny paper). Super easy!
Hey Chick! And Hey Birthday Chick!
Beginning today, you can purchase additional chick items to go along with the super cute Hey Birthday Chick stamp set found on page 52 of the January - June catalog. Now you can purchase dies to coordinate with the set AND Stampin' Up! is bringing back the original Hey Chick set from Sale-a-bration three years ago and dies to go with it.
Chick-tacular!!!
Chickens are a huge craze right now and made even popular because of the pandemic. My niece was given four baby chicks last June for her 12th birthday and they were so hard to get - almost flying off the shelves if you will. Her chicks were the perfect gift for her - instant bonding, responsibility and fresh eggs.
This is the original Hey Chick set that was one of the Sale-a-bration items from 2017. Now you can buy the set by itself, as a bundle with the dies, or buy the dies separately if you already have the set.
Hey Chick Bundle - stamp set & dies - 158627, $44
Hey Chick stamp set only - 158190, $17
Hey Chick dies only - 158199, $32
Hey Birthday Chick Bundle - stamp set & dies - 158631, $43
Hey Birthday Chick stamp set only - 154464, $21
Hey Birthday Chick dies only - 158200, $27
New Upcoming Catalog Dates
Stampin' Up! is shifting the dates of all of their catalogs this year. You may have noticed that the current January - June catalog (the former Spring Occasions catalog) is available for one month longer. The next Holiday catalog will run from July - December. So these "mini" catalogs will now be 6 for months long - YAY!
The upcoming 2021 Annual Catalog will begin on May 4, rather than the beginning of June. This means that the current annual catalog will only be current until May 3, rather than the usual beginning of June.
Take a peek at your Annual Catalog to see what is on your must have list - there's really only 3 full months left of it. You may want to get these items during Sale-a-bration (might as well earn free products, right?). We don't know what will be carrying over or what will be retiring, but I do know that retiring items sell out quickly.
I do know the 2019-21 In colors will be retiring - Rococo Rose, Purple Posy, Pretty Peacock, Terracotta Tile and Seaside Spray. These colors, and the products that showcase them - paper, embellishments, re-inkers, etc, will probably sell out before they retire on May 3. If you love them, you may want to stock
up.
One More Month of Sale-a-bration!!!
There is still one more fun month of Sale-a-bration. In past years, Sale-a-bration ran through March. But this year, it's January & February AND July & August (there will be a whole new Sale-a-bration catalog with new things to choose this
summer).
Spend $50 and choose one free item.
Spend $100 and choose either two free items or one free level 2 item.
