June 2021 Newsletter - Christine Josti, Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator
I've alluded what a busy time of year it is for my household in my past few emails, but it's also a great time of year! Covid restrictions are lifting, we can see actual smiles on peoples faces, flowers are blooming, this crazy school year is coming to a close, summer vacation is beginning and with that picnics, BBQ's and ice cream! All great
reasons to make cards and scrapbook pages and memory books.
Happy beginning of Summer!!!
Monthly Sketch Program is now Available!
I'm thrilled to announce that my Monthly Sketch Program is up & running. I've been working on this program behind the scenes for a little while now, tweaking and getting it ready and I'm thrilled to make this announcement.
I've heard from many of you that you are looking for a place to start your cards, wanting some design inspiration or to use up those pretty papers you have been collecting. This sketch program should fill that need. Use the sketches with products you already own - no need to purchase additional supplies. Use the sketches over and over, they don't retire like
products do. Keep all the sketches in one place for easy reference.
YOU have the opportunity to become a Founding Member of this program and get Founding Member pricing - the lowest price it will ever be. This lowest price will only be available until end of day on June 6 - so sign up before it goes away.
All details and sign up can be found here:

Stampin' Up! has launched a new Kits Collection. The collection is specifically designed with the new stamper in mind (although the kits can be purchased and used by anyone). They make great gifts!!! Kits are designed to inspire creative confidence for new stampers by being easy to make, all-inclusive, and adorable! Kits are also a quick
and simple way to get some cards made without the prep work—the projects are planned and the pieces are already cut! Perfect for any level stamper!!!
You may notice that some of the kits look familiar - Stampin' Up! took the most popular Paper Pumpkin months and added them into the Kits Collection.
The specific kits will not be shown in the catalogs, but rather in the online store. New kits will be added throughout the year, so the kits shown in the online store are the current kits available (no backorder issues). You'll want to periodically check the site for additions.

Soft Succulent & Blending Brushes
My team of Wicked Stampahs did a card swap in May and I wanted to show you the card I made with photograph steps. I will be showing you the cards that my team made in a future email (you'll love them all).
I used the Soft Succulent bundle (read below, it's bundled only until June 30 and then will be sold separately), Blending Brushes and new In Color Stampin' Write Markers.
Both of these label pieces are included in the Potted Succulents dies.
1. I colored "You make the ordinary" with the Evening Evergreen Stampin' Write Marker. Then I colored the "extraordinary" with the Fresh Freesia Stampin' Write Marker. Then I brushed a little Polished Pink and Evening Everygreen (Stampin' Write Markers) over parts of the "extraordinary" to give a multi-colored look. Then I cut it out with the label die. Wash stamp between multiple stampings.
2. I cut the same label die with Evening Evergreen card stock and cut in half with scissors.
3. I cut the pennant shape (from that same set) in Fresh Freesia card stock and cut in half.
4. I glued it all together off-setting the pieces to make them look like they all layer together.
I didn't take a picture of my sponge technique (which isn't a technique at all). I randomly sponged the very vanilla with both Evening Evergreen & Fresh Freesia colors and glued the Soft Succulent cut out on top. Each card was a little different. These Blending Brushes come in a pack of 3 and are washable for multiple uses.
Don't forget the envelope! I did the same for the inside of the card too. I relied on the good ole' "Rock & Roll" technique (one of the first techniques I learned 15 years ago).
I stamped the image in Fresh Freesia ink and then rolled the edges of the stamp in Soft Succulent. It gives the one image two colors - just like a succulent. Wash between stamping multiples, otherwise your Freesia will become muddy.
