A reminder that there are only a few days left for the seasonal January - June catalog. Some items will be gone forever. Some items are up to 50% off. You may notice that some bundles are on the retiring list - but the individual stamp sets and/or dies/punches carried over to the new annual catalog (such as the ice cream
bundle). It's the bundle pricing that retires (10% savings) not the products.

4th of July Striped Cards
For those of us who live in the US, the 4th of July is fast approaching. Even if you don't celebrate the 4th, these striped cards are easy to reproduce and customize. Change the colors and cut outs that are in the middle. It's an easy template to replicate and reproduce.
This is a very classic nautical looking card. I used this card as a birthday card for a navy & white loving stamper. The anchor comes from the Smooth Sailing die set. Choose your favorite foil paper for the color of your anchor - copper or gold.
All you need are 5 stripes. 3/4" x 4-1/4" and a central focus. I used the Layering Circles dies and the anchor and stars.
I recommend adhering the top and bottom stripe first, then you can eyeball the middle stripe and then center the remaining two.
These stars are from a new die set I purchased. The Give it a Whirl dies are designed to make spinner cards (whoo hoo). But, there are so many other really cool dies that come in the set: clouds, stars, hearts, arrows and label shapes that you can use for all sorts of reasons. Can you see the possibilities of non-spinner card
options? I'm looking forward to using these dies this summer (and of course will share with you).
I have one more striped Red, White and Blue striped card to show you. This one is inspired by our traditional 4th of July ice cream we get at Sundae School on Cape Cod. They make a Red, White & Blue ice cream sundae (vanilla ice cream, blueberry sauce and a cherry on top) that is a hug hit. We love going there each year and
am looking forward to our next visit - we weren't able to go last year.
I used the Ice Cream Builder punch as well as the Scalloped Contours dies. The inner Sahara Sand layer was cut with my paper trimmer, 2-1/2" x 3-3/4". The stripes are Misty Moonlight.
I hope you enjoyed these Red, White & Blue striped cards and they open up some possibilities for you and your card making.
Yesterday I announced my new online class on Pop Up cards. I created this class before I had the Ice Cream Builder punch - I think a pop up ice cream card would be a fun one to make (& receive).
Here are the details on this online class - https://go.mailsomethingpretty.com/pop-up-cardclass
The early bird pricing is good until Sunday, June 27.
