Wine Tags & Christmas Cards

I was trying to think of a project to share with you today. The weather for the last three days has been picture perfect. This got me to thinking about sitting on my deck and reading a good book. And then I thought, what would make that more perfect than sitting on the deck, reading a book, sipping some wine.....which led me to today's project idea. Wine tags! I am sure you will be attending a cookout or dinner party or two this summer and these wine tags would make the perfect accompaniment to any bottle of wine. The tags are "paired" with my top set for the summer, Sailing home.

They are very easy to make. A few stamps and a few die cuts. The sailboats are leftovers from some cards I was making. (Video & pictures of that card will be posted later in the week on my blog).

Tip for centering a punched shape: Punch the size of the shape, in this case a circle, out of a post it note. Place the post it note exactly where you want the shape to be and then punch over the post it. So much easier than eye-balling.

The Sailboat tag measures: 3 1/4" x 8 1/2" with a 2" circle punch.

The Lighthouse tag measures 2 3/4" x 8 1/2" with a 1 1/2" circle punch.

Measure the width of your wine bottle to see which measurement fits best.

Both tags are scored at 3" (this is where the circle cut out goes).

Christmas Card Class Next Tuesday!

I just watched two baking shows last night featuring Christmas in July ~ it's a catchy theme! I hope you can join us for my annual and popular Christmas in July Card Class. You choose to make either 6 cards (2 of each design) for $30, or 12 cards (4 of each design) for $45. You will be so happy come December because some of your Christmas cards are already made.

This class features the colors Mossy Meadow and Merry Merlot (I guess I MUST of had wine on my mind - ha ha). We will also be using the Rustic Retreat stamp set, Buffalo Check Background stamp and the Barn Door stamp set . Any experience level welcome.
