Stampin' Up! just hosted their 26th Convention in July, and although I was not able to attend this year, I was able to feel their energy, enthusiasm and creativity. | Get your Creative Juices Flowing
|
Do you ever get stuck on what to make, the design of the project, the colors to use? We all do. You can find inspiration almost anywhere. Magazines, advertisements, patterns on clothing/home decor, and other people's creativity. This is the time of year that we'll all be getting sent catalogs - check out the patterns and color combinations
they are using. Stampin' Up! is on trend with colors, shapes and embellishments which should make it a little easier for you to translate into your own design. If you look at the bedding to the left (from the Crate & Barrel catalog), you will see I used these colors in my Color Combo of the Month below. These companies pay people big money to come up with designs, why not use their genius? There's an acronym in the stamping community called CASE - Copy and Share
Everything. Many of us post photos of our cards, layouts and creations on our websites in the hopes that they inspire people. Take advantage! I certainly do. I post images of all my cards here. I encourage you to copy them! |
