Have you started your shopping yet?
As you can see, there are only 7 weeks left which really isn't that long. This week I thought I would share a cute way to package up a gift card - the universal gift that always fits. These cute little bags are made with the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies (#137547) In addition to the mini treat bags, I created a pull out card that holds the gift card in a little pocket. To create the card insert, cut a piece of card stock 3 1/2" x 6 1/2". Score at 1 1/2" and 2 1/4". You will then fold on those score lines to make a "Z" shape. Using some washi tape, cover right below the folded edge and turn to back and connect so that the "Z" shape is closed. This will allow you to insert a gift card in the front
pocket. For the topper pull, punch out a 2" circle and 1/2" contrasting circle. Fold the 2" circle in half and insert a mini brad through both. For the bag, I used the Merry Moments Designer Series Paper Stack (6" x 6"). This size paper works great for the die. I used two sheets to get the two pieces needed to create the bag. Fold on the score lines
and seal shut with either Fast Fuse or Tear & Tape. Another great thing about this Treat bag/gift card holder is it fits into an envelope so you can mail it! And, don't forget about birthdays! There are so many dies in this set - 12 of them! You will discover that you will find plenty of uses of them even if you don't make a treat
bag. |
