Happy October!

And just like that, it feels like Fall. I had to put my jeans on for the first time Thursday and think it's time to say goodbye to my shorts for the next 7 months. The good thing about this time of year is it's "card mailing" season, or as others call it, the Holiday Season. Who doesn't like to make and receive Halloween cards and treats, Thanksgiving cards, Christmas cards, gift tags and Happy New Year cards. Lucky for you, Stampin' Up! and I have got you covered.

By the way, did you celebrate World Card Making Day on Saturday? I was busy making and designing Christmas cards. There are just a few days left to take advantage of this sale. And, as you will see below, there are even more sales during the month of October.

Designer Series Paper on Sale for the month of Oct!

For some ideas on using Designer Series Paper, try out one, two or all three of these templates on your next card:

Use a variety of strips and punch the ends using the Triple Banner Punch. Stamp a greeting and add a ribbon for a quick, attractive card that shows off any pattern of Designer Series Paper.

Create a “window” on your Designer Series Paper using framelits or punches, then layer an image or greeting underneath. Try this template with several papers from the same collection and get a different look every time.

Why throw away scraps when they’re this pretty? Instead, use them up on this great card design. It’s like a sampler of Designer Series Paper! Use designs from one collection, or mix and match for more possibilities.

Not all things go as planned....

Last week I filmed my first video....except I really didn't film it because my iPhone storage was full - just like that commercial on t.v. Two thirds of the way through I realized my camera shut itself off. Determined to finish, I uploaded all (years worth) photos from my camera to my computer and discovered I had a software issue. I even lost some photos, but that was due to my error, not the software (tip - back up all your photos). Luckily, the Apple store is not that far away. I hope to finish filming this week, figure out how to edit it and post it on YouTube for you all to watch. Please stay tuned for my stamping your own background paper first video.

Christmas Gift Tags, Friday, December 9 at 10 am and 7 pm. $30 includes all supplies (including adhesive) to make 30 tags and keepsake tin (shown on page 32/3 of Holiday Catalog). RSVP by Nov 22 because I need to order the kits.

Open Studio*, Tuesday, December 13, 9-2pm. $5. Come for as long or little as your schedule permits. RSVP by Dec.12.

*New to the line up is my Open Studio Days. My studio will be open and available for you to use for a $5 fee. Use my punches, big shot, stamp sets, inks and tools. You bring projects to work on (any unmade Paper Pumpkin kits, memory keeping albums, Christmas cards/tags, etc.). I will have card stock available to purchase for 40 cents a sheet. Come for an hour or stay the whole 5 hours. RSVP by the day before. Right now they are on Tuesdays and I will look into adding more days.

Don’t forget to plan your own party or private class – contact me today to reserve your spot. My house or yours.

**You will need to bring your own adhesive to all classes. I have new adhesive products for you to purchase at class if needed. I will send a list of what you will need to bring with my confirmation email prior to class.

Cancellation policy: If you need to cancel with less than 48 hours until card-class time, you will still need to pay the class fee. However, I will complete the cards for you.
