February Newsletter

Published: Tue, 02/07/17

Hello February

It seems like I just sent out my January newsletter and here I am writing one for February...January flew by.  Many good things happened in January:  a fun catalog launch party, I celebrated my 10 years with Stampin' Up!, "lovely" Valentine classes and 5 people joined my team (they took advantage of the fabulous Starter kit deal and SAB extras).  I hope to keep this momentum going in February because good things are contagious (the only thing we want to catch this winter!!!)

2/3rd's of Sale-a-Bration left
If you haven't been able to enjoy the benefits of Sale-a-Bration yet, don't worry!  We still have February and March left to enjoy all it's happiness.

There are 3 ways for you to earn free products:

1.  Each increment of $50 in products earns a Sale-a-bration item
2.  Host a party.  If your party sales are $250 or more, add an extra $25 to your rewards!
3.  Purchase a $99 Starter Kit and choose any two stamp sets from the Annual & Occasions catalog for free!  (Included in the $99 Starter kit is $125 of products of your choosing, a Paper Pumpkin kit, catalogs for sharing and those 2 extra stamp sets - all with free shipping).*

*I am also offering a pair of Paper Snips to the next 5 who join my team with the purchase of a Starter kit (the first 5 have all been claimed).

Alternate Assembly
Not everything is as it seems.  I have to admit when I first saw the Sale-a-Bration Pretty Pocket card kit, I gave it a two second glance and turned the page.  When I saw this alternate sample of the kit (supplemented with the swirly bird bundle), I put it on my must have list.  It just goes to show that creativity makes a difference.

Ingredients: Banners for You and Swirly Bird Stamp Sets; Whisper White Cardstock; Delicate White Doilies; Pretty Pocket Card Kit; Calypso Coral, Pool Party, Rich Razzleberry, So Saffron, and Wild Wasabi Classic Stampin’ Pads®; Tasty Treats Designer Washi Tape; Stampin’ Dimensionals®; Big Shot™; Swirly Scribbles Thinlits™ Dies

To make the kit that's in the SAB catalog, you don't need anything extra.

Artisan Tips & Tricks

Did you know that Stampin' Up! posts Tips and Tricks by the Artisan Design Team on Instagram each Tuesday? Just go to Instagram and search for #ADTTipsAndTricks.

Lift Me Up & Carried Away
I fell in love with both the Lift Me Up bundle (p. 10 Occasions catalog) and Carried Away Designer Series Paper (p. 7 SAB catalog) immediately.  This stamp set of hot air balloons and 6 sentiments is so versatile, gender neutral and covers almost every occasion you would need for sending a card.  Pinterest and demonstrator blogs are full of ideas.

This is a video done by Stampin' Up! that showcases the stamp set & paper - it doesn't even use the framelits, so no Big Shot needed.  The video was created for demonstrators to watch and create a class around, but I think everyone should watch it and see how easy it is to make their own set of 12 cards.

>> I learned two things watching this video - a non-twisting way to tie a bow with twine and a mind shattering way of using the triple banner punch.

I am happy to do this class for you if you want to invite some friends together, but with these directions, you can do it all on your own.
Supplies used:

Lift Me Up stamp set
Carried Away DSP (SAB free item)
Ink Colors:  Night of Navy, Peek-a-boo Peach, Watermelon Wonder & Mint Macaron
Card Stock Colors:  Whisper White, Smoky Slate, Peek-a-boo Peach, Watermelon Wonder & Mint Macaron
Bakers' Twine colors:  Whisper White & Night of Navy
Paper Snips
Snail & Dimensionals
Whisper White envelopes
optional bone folder
optional Card Tin (p. 14 SAB)

Create Your Own DSP
Just one of the many benefits of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is the online "Succeed Weekly" email you receive each Tuesday.  They each include creative tips, ideas and even whole classes/projects to do with friends.  In today's email, they sent out this great idea of creating your own background paper and then cutting it out, in this instance with the butterfly die.  I love how I learn something new each week and that I can use someone else's ideas. Stampin' Up! really does live up to their create-inspire-share motto.
The stamp set used to make the designs is the free Sale-a-bration set Delicate Details (p. 9 SAB catalog).  This is a great idea for stamping & cutting.  You could stamp any sentiment for this card and it would be perfect for anyone.

My Sale-a-Bration Celebration
So far, I have 6 people who have earned their invitation to my Spring Sale-a-Bration Celebration event.  Would you like to come and be pampered by me too?  To receive your invitation, you just need to qualify by one of these three ways:

1.  Purchase $150 in products between January - March 31 (I'm keeping track)
2.  Host a party or private class
or
3.  Purchase a Starter Kit

You all deserve a day of stamping pampering!!!!  The more the merrier.

Congratulations
Five people won a $10 gift certificate from me as a celebration of my 10 year anniversary with Stampin' Up!  Congratulations to:  Jennifer, Jocelyn, Susan, Marie & Michele!!!
